The Pro Artistry Foundation Course £1100
Accredited by BABTAC
The North East's makeup academy
This is part 1 and 2 of NEMUA’s Pro Artistry Certificate.
This course has been designed for beginners with little or no knowledge of makeup. It will give you substantial knowledge in the basics of makeup. After your 5 days of intense makeup training with the NEMUA you will be able to achieve a day and evening look on a client using techniques that are usually reserved for advanced courses.
This will include learning about the colour wheel, compensating for different face and eye shapes, undertones, understanding your brushes and getting the most from your kit. We’ll teach you valuable information about the industry including product discounts, marketing yourself correctly, building a good reputation, assembling a cost effective kit and troubleshooting to ensure you save money when starting out.
Each session we’ll be teaching you how to create age appropriate looks, interact with customers and take into consideration what colours compliment one another so you can create a full look for your client to ensure you get booked again! NEMUA is going to train you to apply flawless makeup but teach you to take your time to look at the individuals features, bone structure and outfit so you are a makeup artist and you understand why you are doing your role.
You’ll work with a different student each time you apply makeup and with out realising it you’ll be building up your skills each day, of course it’s going to take practice when you leave us, but you’ve had a great introduction to makeup applications!
The second week of the Pro Certificate is structured to build on the skills your have learned in the first 5 days. You’ll learn basic hair techniques, bridal makeup, advanced eye techniques, vintage makeup and you’ll experience what’s it’s like to work on a shoot. We’ll give you a brief and you’ll design a mood board and make the final decisions on your creation.
